I'm a project administrator. How can to disable some hosts from getting workunits?
The problem is that those hosts return empty outputs and I want to disable them until we resolve this problem. At the sample_assimilator generates numerous errors (because of empty outputs) and stops processing other WUs. I'm using boinc-wrapper.

Something like this: Blacklisting hosts

I would suggest trying it first on your own host to see how scary error message it sends to volunteers.

Why, do blacklisted hosts get a threatening warning not to cheat for credits?

Change in hosts table the max_jobs_per_day to -1.

I didn't know, hence the suggestion to try it first.

I dug up the code in question and it sends a "Not accepting requests from this host" message with 1 day back-off back to the host. Not terribly scary but a posting news message explaining the situation wouldn't hurt.
