I have Boinc runing Seti@Home on some Linux Fedora Core 4 systems. On one, using an Intel Celeron D 3.06GHz, the core keeps shuts itself down. The boinc.log shows:

Received signal 1
Exit requested by user

The error.log shows nothing within a reasonable time of the above.

The software is installed the same as the other systems.
