Hi

I installed boinc via apt-get on a linux system and added a project via boinccmd --project_attach. That all was ok but Boinc didn´t work. There were no results at all.

Is something more to do before Boinc works?

Here ist the state:

Did you really mean to say "BOINC Server Install"?

For me, it looks like you were doing a client install. If so, is the client running? If not, it's to be expected that no results occur.

Gundolf

I've done this:
apt-get install boinc-client boinc-manager

and top says:

1458 boinc 18 0 73496 9188 3896 S 0.0 0.4 0:05.62 boinc

I think, Boinc is running.

Is there a further configuration needed after the apt-get install?

Thanks!

Did you try a "boinccmd --help"? There are severeal options to get the status.

What about the messages log (stdoutdae)?

Gundolf
[edit]And you should change the thread title, as your questions are nothing to do with a server install. Your initial post even got moved to the wrong subforum because of that (I suppose ;-).[/edit]
