I've read through "Creating custom installers" on the wiki, I've also read 'mundayweb' and the 'Unofficial boinc wiki' they've not helped me very much at all.

I thought my ambition was simple...
I want to create a network deployment package (msi) that I can push out using GP in AD, it must meet the following requirements:

  • Run-as-a-service: no auto-starting of the manager interface. In fact there should be no user interface whatsoever when running.
  • Silent install: no user interface or interaction whatsoever.
  • Auto-join account manager: so I can manage each host's projects and preferences as I won't have physical access to the hosts.

I have read about weak authenticators - this is what I'd like the hosts to use. How is this used effectively in the above scenario?

Please can someone provide instructions on how I accomplish this; I really would like to get BOINC deployed and running.

I don't have time during work, or energy during my personal time, if it's going to take me three days of f**king around with ORCA and msi's and mst's and reading 3 different websites and dozen of forum posts to do something that normally takes me 20 minutes with any other network deployment software.

Any help at all is appreciated!

[edit]
Sorry I should have included - I intend to deploy version 6.10.58

Thank you
