Somewhere in the 5.3.X line boinc CC started to think that Windows host has allways an active user...

What I see is the following: if I install boinc CC (5.3.17, 5.3.21, 5.3.23 - it doesn't matter) and have host venue configured not to work while computer is in use, boinc CC doesn't resume project binaries at all. Even if nobody is actually logged in to a computer.

It works as intended with version 5.2.13 and works with versions 5.3.x if user_run_request is set to 1 (always).

I'm noticing the same problem & have a thread on the BOINC Manager board.

ZoneAlarm seems to be detecting a lot of traffic also, even if my ADSL modem isn't. Anyone have any further ideas?

This is the 2 parts of BOINC talking to each other.

So are they too busy talking to do any work?...:-)

ZoneAlarm flashes whether the apps are computing or not if that matters to anyone.

Walt G at Berkeley has put a fix in for this bug. It will appear in 5.3.29.
