At last. Fedora 8 is up and running on the old HP Kayak.
I have a lightning type of brain, one flash and POOF, it's a goner. But, I keep plugging away at it.

Silly error messages when compiling and spilling coffee.
The one thing I enjoy about banging my head on the keyboard all the time, it really feels good when I stop.

Linux is a blast. I have more cd's & dvd's than boinc credits. In a heart beat I will load a new version of Linux on another computer and learn it inside and out.

Dang. It snowed like crazy yesterday, we got a bit over a foot of it. Think I'll build a snow fort and hide in there with the wireless lap-top so the dog won't hear me going bonkers trying to make BOINC work properly. Where did I leave the thermos ?

Anyway, I know it will work eventually. It is so frustrating at times. Thankfully I have a work schedule that keeps me away from the computers for a few hours a day.

Ya' can't walk across the river if ya' don't know where the rocks are ! But I don't mind the cold.
