I have processed for Seti and Boinc for years. I even got a card from one... but here's my problem. I don't mind having my machine help. But I updated my Mac and Boinc quit and Seti isn't there any more. I'm not knowledgeable about either software. I just do it. I went to sign in on Boinc and now it has no record of me. This is the second time my stats/records couldn't be found. I put in every email address I've had in the past 15 years. Can someone help me find my old login info? (I rarely login. I just process...) I'd like to have all the stats that I've processed. I think it is cool to see how I've helped.

BOINC doesn't have any passwords for itself (not to be confused with this website). It only store the passwords for the projects once you sign-up/connect to them.

Try logging into the SETI@home website: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ with your e-mail and password. Try the different combinations if the one you think it is doesn't work.

Failing that, if you still have access to your e-mail accounts, you can click on the Forgot Password link. If your e-mail exists in the system, you'll receive a message to reset your password.

Assuming that is successful, you should be able to go back in and readd SETI. If something is screwy, try uninstalling BOINC and then reinstalling and retry.

It might be possible that BOINC is out of sync with the files containing your info, but one of the others here will have to give you the path to look to find that info as I don't know what it is for Macs offhand.

I also saw this mentioned for issues with Mac and the latest client, which may or may not assist you:

the SETI@home website: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/
As far as I know, that address there is the old address for the Seti Beta project. The full address being setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta to differentiate from Seti@Home which has always been at http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/. Older BOINC clients couldn't see the difference between the main project being at https://setiathome.berkeley.edu and the Beta project being at setiathome.berkeley.edu/beta/, they would switch between the projects and throw lots of work away. Which is why Beta went to its own address, being setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta.

Mind, both resolve to the same server, and could be used, but it's better to use the main address for Seti@Home that everyone uses and the client points to as well: setiathome.berkeley.edu

With the advent of browsers wanting everyone to use HTTPS, it's even better to immediately point to https://setiathome.berkeley.edu.
