I've spent hours trying to get boinc running properly. It was running but not providing units to my dashboard. I'm trying Milky Way, and boinc download tasks but they do not appear to be credited.

That is not my problem at the moment however.

My problem now is after tearing my hair out and reinstalling boinc several times, trying various tidbits found online, boinc itself throws "not initialized" error and I cannot get back to even having it running as a daemon/service.

I'm using Centos 6.x, please ask me anything and I'll try to answer as best as I can.
